NO COMMERCIAL VALUE (NCV)NCV or unsaleable items are tipped after each auction at the auctioneer's discretion. No seller will be informed that such items are to be tipped. Poor quality plywood, particle board furniture, stained or aged household furniture, unusable household products, old beds and mattresses – in particular old single beds and mattresses, poor and old electrical items and white goods will be tipped. All near new or good quality, items will sell; unfortunately, new furniture and goods are so cheap that buyers are very selective. This will occur at the auctioneer’s discretion if the goods cannot achieve $1 in the first auction and without consulting the vendor. RESERVES Minimum Consignment Length – 3 Weeks WITHDRAWING PRIOR TO THE 3RD WEEKIf an item or consignment is booked in with Reserve prices and is collected prior to the third week of auctioning a fee is payable to Garside & Webb for handling, typing, advertising & auctioning of 5% of the value of the lot. This is also applicable if the lot is withdrawn prior to the first auction. MINIMUM FEE$22 (plus GST) will apply to any consignment of less than $100 on the fall of the hammer. G&W will not accept small ex Swapmeet or Garage Sale leftovers or roadside pick ups. G&W staff booking in items have the right to refuse to accept any items. QUALITY ANTIQUE AUCTIONSItems will be selected by our senior experienced antique staff and valuers. Only G&W staff will determine what is suitable for antique auctions. If prices for consignment are requested, the vendor will be contacted the Thursday immediately prior to the auction. This applies to all MART auctions also. EARLY CHEQUES– Early payments for non-completed consignments will be sent 15 working days (3 weeks) after items are sold only at the request of the vendor. Early cheques for non-completed consignments will incur an early cheque fee of $30 per cheque. PAYMENTPAYMENT will occur 15 working days (3 weeks) after the sale of full consignment or 15 working days (3 weeks) after every antique auction. Reserves will slow the process as it may take 3 weeks to sell all items. This means a cheque will not be sent until 15 working days (3 weeks) after the final auction. ATTENTION VENDOR: Unless documents are provided to prove equipment has been assessed by a competent person and ascertained to be safe for use in the workplace, all items on this Goods Receipt will be considered unsafe and will be sold as scrap only. |
