Garside and Webb is owned and directed by Mathew Donelly. His extensive experience as an auctioneer and valuer ensures that Perth’s largest auction house caters to all members of the public and their auction needs. Mathew is the President of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association and has been instrumental in ensuring current legislation supports safety standards for auction goods.

Garside and Webb is still a family orientated business. In 1972 Alan Donelly established Alan Donelly and Company which is known throughout Perth for specialist on site auctions. Garside and Webb was purchased in 2000 by Mathew Donelly to compliment Alan Donelly and Co. All three Donelly children work within the business. Being a family run business ensures that old fashioned values and traditions are a focal part of business. Partnered with the latest technology and qualified staff ensures that we are a leader within the auction industry.

We handle over 220 houseful’s each year and sell these goods at a weekly auction.

Cars and boats often come in for auction and the insolvency department can ensure that earth moving equipment can be valued and sold as well. The weekly auctions are a colourful mix of items. Glass, crystal, fine china, paintings, kitchen items, furniture both antique and general, fridges, bikes, washing machines even pot plants go under the hammer each week.

Alan Donelly onsite auctioneers, EST 1972, is a large part of our company. We conduct roughly 15 on-site auctions a year specialising in Antique and Deceased Estates. Onsite auctions ensure no cartage costs with maximum auction returns. Not all homes or contents are suited to onsite auctions so we are always happy to quote on obligation free alternatives.

Every second month we have a specialized antique auction. Whilst each weekly auction contains some antiques and collectables the special antique auctions showcase rare and unique pieces. Mathew employs seven different valuers who really understand these finer items. Victorian jewellery, Russian icons, fine art, porcelain, silver and furniture are some of the exquisite pieces that can be found in these auctions.

In addition to the regular auctions Garside and Webb provides many other services. We have teams of professional packers and removalists. Custom made packing materials and boxes can be purchased directly from us to ensure items coming for auction are transported safely. Our team of valuers can advise of current market prices on goods coming to auction and they can also provide written valuations for the purpose of insurance.
